Song list and descriptions:

"Prayer" was written from Psalms 9:13; 37:23-24; 63:8; 86:2.

The bridge of the song was inspired by verses Matthew 16:24-26 and Luke 14:26-27.

It is a prayer that has been mostly inspired by King David, who was known as a man after God's own heart. My aim has been to be a women after God's heart.

"Humble Me" was written my freshman year of college. I was inspired by Philippians 2:1-11 and 2 Corinthians 6:1-13. I mainly wrote it while remembering my desires just before I was saved. This was the realization of my humanity and how much I truly needed God to save me.

"Chicago Wind" is a more recent song. I don't usually write eros love songs very much, but I know that others can relate to this song. This is a song about how I hope that I'm not just being led on, but that I would be pursued by the man I have been impressed by.

"Jacob" is written from Genesis 32:22-32, which is the story of how Jacob wrestled with God. I've always seen this story as a humbling experience for Jacob. He wrestled with God... not fighting against God, but he had a strong desire for a particular blessing and was giving his whole strength to be able to receive this blessing. During this time of wrestling God, he not only drew closer to God, but God was also the one to receive glory when He gave Jacob the blessing.
